Harnessing high throughput single cell technologies to understand cancer

The Physical Sciences in Oncology grant is an initiative undertaken by the National Cancer Institute to explore novel, innovative scientific approaches to better understand and tackle cancer. The grant was awarded to twelve centers of excellence (PS-OCs) across the country. As part of the ASU PS-OC, the Center for Biosignatures Discovery Automation is exploring the interplays between physiology, structure and function of normal and cancer cells using novel single-cell technologies. The overall goal is to test existing hypotheses and new hypotheses with respect to the physics of cancer cells.
